  • Biblical Responsibilities of Christian Men What are the responsibilities of man according the scriptures? It is a valid question worth answering.
    Christian Bible Teaching
Certainly, the Bible spends a great deal of time exploring mankind and showing the relationship between men and their creator and how this relationship was shattered by sin. The Old Testament is a record of how man either continued to strive to meet their obligations or failed to do so. For Christians it offers a wealth of examples for us to learn from. For Christian men, understanding what sort of responsibilities they are obligated to perform is crystallized in the New Testament. The task given to Christian men to perform is at least four-fold: First they are to honor and serve God above all others. Second, Christian men must provide a godly example for everyone around them. The third, though optional, is still one of the heaviest responsibilities given to man. It is being the husband. Finally, the last but certainly not the least of man’s responsibilities is his role as father.
  • Biblical Responsibilities of Christian Women Likely, the word that has come to be associated with every mention of the role of women is submission. The apostle Paul spends time on the responsibilities of both men and women in his epistles. Describing the marriage relationship in lofty and sacred terms and showing the dynamic that is created where God is first in authority over all, followed by the authority that God gave to man as the first created and last is woman who came from man and which God made subordinate in the "chain of command." Despite the protests of many, it is important to understand what biblical submission was and what it wasn’t. The responsibility of Christian women to submit to their husbands is only superceded by obedience to God. In reality, men and women both were to submit and approach God and each other with reverence and respect.
  • Engaging Christian Teen Interest What does the world look like to a christian teenager? This depends much on how that teenager was raised —their experiences, and passions often times will determine their out look.
  • Creation Vs. Evolution: Always A Big Debate When we talk about the debate between evolution and creationism we are not always drawn into a protracted and tedious discussion where highly technical, scientific arguments are presented by both parties, with equal parts success and failure to convince other party of the soundness of these ideas. For such discourses, the internet is a storehouse of such highly specialized branches of apologetics. Yet, for some, there are far more basic questions in mind, and those not so much about science in general or any of the branches used in discussion, rather it comes down to these simple questions: Why does this debate even exist in the first place? What does the Bible have to say if anything about this?
  • Is The Coelacanth Really The Oldest Fish? When it comes to one of the evolutionist’s former theories regarding the coelacanth fish being a transitional

species in their evolutionary chain of events, their speculations were thwarted when a living specimen was found in 1938. This discovery is highly relevant because up until that time the scientific community belief that the coelacanth had been extinct for more than 60 million years and only known from fossils. The discovery of one of the world’s oldest fish caused a sensation with most scientific circles. Upon study of the fish, many evolutionists were forced to abandon their assumptions regarding the coelacanth’s anatomy.
  • A Biblical Perspective On Abortion There is a small but influential circle of prochoice advocates who claim to base their beliefs on the Bible. They maintain that "nowhere does the Bible prohibit abortion." [1] Yet the Bible clearly prohibits the killing of innocent people (Exodus 20:13). All that is necessary to prove a biblical prohibition of abortion is to demonstrate that the Bible considers the unborn to be human beings.
  • The Healing Powers Of The Dead Sea For thousands of years there have been accounts that mentioned the supposed healing powers possessed by the water of the Dead Sea. Historical figures like Aristotle, Cleopatra and Pliny the Elder all make similar references to the beneficial effects of the water. Today, hundreds of visitors to the Dead Sea come there in search of alleviation of the painful symptoms of various skin diseases like chronic eczema, psoriasis, neurodermatitis and parachroma. Still others want to reduce the discomfort associated with bronchial disorders or rheumatism.
  • What Is The Biblical View of Suicide? Suicide is a subject that should not be approached lightly. It is very serious business and lives hang in the balance. This is particularly true when it comes to the question of what happens to a believer if they commit suicide.
  • Christians And Home-Schooling When we consider the state of our culture at large as well as the shape that the public education system is in for many sections of the country, some Christians have decided that there are ample reasons to choose home schooling as a real alternative to sending their children to public school. Certainly, the biggest advantages for parents who have decided that home-schooling is a better option is the fact that they can have the freedom to establish the curriculum and determine what sort of worldview their children will be exposed to first.
  • How Should Christians Approach Dating? Do the scriptures give us any guidance on how to approach dating as Christians? For most singles who seek to live lives that are honoring to God, having practical answers to this question can be paramount to their continued godly living in a sinful, lustful world. Yes, that’s right. Christians must live differently and therefore they need guidance to do so effectively.
  • Gossip: A Biblical View Gossip is one of those issues that always managed to worm its way into the lives of people both believer and unbeliever alike, yet what does the Bible have to say about gossip? What is the proper view for a Christian to have towards gossip?
  • Is Christian Baptism Important? Before addressing the importance of Christian baptism, it is necessary to look at baptism and how it is used in the Bible. From the beginning of the gospels we are shown its very close relationship with confession and repentance of sin in the preaching of John the Baptist. It was an act of cleansing and renewal and even before Christ began his ministry it signified new identity and relationship with God. With his simple cry, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near," John the Baptist understood and proclaimed baptism’s future significance.
  • Does The Bible Declare Drinking Alcohol A Sin? We find that the Old Testament has a lot to say about alcohol or fermented drinks and wine. There are passages that speak of prohibition of its use as is the case with the Levites in Leviticus 10:9, as part of the Nazirite vow in Numbers 6:3, in the life of Samson and his mother for they were under Nazirite vows as well Judges 13:4, 7, and 14. There are passages that speak of it in a favorable light as in Deuteronomy 14:26. The Old Testament was clear though that drunkenness was a detestable thing that should be avoided and worthy of God’s judgment Isaiah 5:11, 22; 28:7-8, 56:12. It is clear that the Old Testament condemns drunkenness and its effects.
  • Honoring God In Music The question of music and its place in worship is not new by any stretch of the imagination. As early as the third century A.D there were questions regarding what kinds of worship were appropriate for worship. Many see this as purely divisive. But it is actually people who wanted to be sure that in trying to honor God with praise in worship that they were not choosing forms of music that were displeasing to the Lord. Some of early church fathers decided that since pagan festivals often involved music that instruments themselves were evil. Others saw the hundred and fiftieth psalm as the call worship, as it exhorts those reading it to "praise God" and continues to list trumpets, harps, lyres, tambourines, flutes, cymbals, and dancing. Thus, these early Christians did not feel it right to allow pagans to have the only claims to the majesty that is music.
  • What Comes After Death? For many Christians, it is not enough to know that we have eternal life and the hope of resurrection. They want to have more understanding of what happens after death, particularly, after they, themselves, die. Certainly, it is a valid question, but the Scriptures are never explicit concerning the events that transpire after death or do they designate the timing one reaches a final eternal destiny. Yet, the Bible does offer us glimpses into this mystery.
  • The Christian Family Unfortunately, many people, even those who call themselves christians, seem to know remarkably little about what God and the Bible have to say regarding parenthood and the family. The Christian family constitutes a basic unit of society--well, at least it did at one time. Today, the family has become a fractured collection of individuals, loosely bound to one another, that has dipped deeper into darkness and moral ambiguity. Even in the best of times, parenting can be a difficult venture, but in such a culture, Christians, though who truly belong to Christ and seek to follow his ways, have an even greater task set before them. What, indeed, does our God have to say regarding childrearing and the family? Certainly, it should be about how we raise our children to be godly individuals; this paramount. How do we perform this sacred duty? We must teach them the truth about God's Word.
